When I began teaching basic drawing skills, and remembering the kinds of cartoons I used to like drawing, I began a search for various simple illustrations on monsters; I recently began playing around with the Bing Search engine, and got these results for "Monsters Under My Bed," which began with this worksheet I found on Pinterest a number of years ago. Beginning the second semester, (on February 14th), I began posting them on the Daily Objectives Slides, for students to use as a warm-up exercise. Eventually I will draw and record YouTube videos on the construction process using these simple cartoons. Another Pinterest page called, Monsters/Monsters.Â
Practice drawing (more realistic illustrated) "Gouls" -- or how about mixing and matching parts for different monsters, like something with a tiki mask for a face, adding human legs and tentacles for arms. (which you can see, by the lack of examples on that Google search, there's plenty of room for you to post your variations -- and maybe even sell them on sites like Etsy.com for Halloween 2025!) (jus' sayin')
